Teaching Piano for Over 60 Years

We are an established family business of piano music teachers with over 60 years of experience, crossing three generations, based in West Bridgford & Cotgrave, Nottingham.

The school was originally founded by accomplished pianist and skilled teacher, Mrs Stella Middleton. Following advanced musical education, Stella taught in local schools and expanded the school for one-to-one private tuition for ABRSM examinations. We continue Stella's passion for piano teaching, now known as Frost School of Music.

We offer theory and piano tuition for beginners, intermediate or advanced level, up to Grade 8 and Diploma. Our piano lessons are structured for the individual to achieve high musicianship with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music teaching standard. We are also members of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA). Our students learn for both pleasure and examinations. Our lessons include music theory with practical learning.

Lessons

Personalised Tutoring

The lessons are structured with practical, technical and theoretical elements so each student has a good understanding of music. Our teaching style enables students to develop musical proficiency. We also teach individual theory lessons for those who require grade 5 theory to continue practical exams for piano or other instruments and aural lessons for examinations.

Online lessons with Skype

We have successfully taught piano lessons online by Skype for over two years. The lesson plans comprise of the same tuition as face-to-face, but in the comfort of your own home. All you need is a device with a webcam and a wifi connection. Students have found this beneficial as it saves travel time to lessons and is convenient for busy family life!
